The noted national public speaker and innovative founder of Fifth Gear Sales will be an official panelist during a breakfast hosted by the Women’s Automotive Association International.
New York, NY – March 25 2015: Linda Barnette, the founder of Fifth Gear Sales has just been announced as an official panelist of the New York International Auto Show Breakfast hosted by Women’s Automotive Association International.
The New York International Auto Show Breakfast will take place on Thursday April 2 2015 during the New York International Auto Show Preview at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Registration begins at 08:00 AM and from 8:30-10:30 AM. The event will consist of a hot breakfast, panel with questions and answers, and networking opportunities. Tickets are $50 for Women’s Automotive Association International members, $60 for non-members, and $25 for students.
Panelists include the noted Linda Barnette of Fifth Gear Sales,-formerly VP of AutoBuilders, Suzanne Cochrane of Mercedes-Benz Helms Brothers, and Isabelle Helms, of Cox Automotive, moderated by Judith Schumacher CEO of Tilton Auto Group. The panel experts will discuss challenges and opportunities regarding dealerships of the future. Insight will be shed on the fact that more women are visiting dealerships in comparison to men and that customers now need dealerships to look like them and know technology as well as they do. Another major topic will be how to meet the dealer principal or CEO’s of Automotive groups for suppliers and vendors and the increasing opportunities for women in the automotive industry.
Linda Barnette has been known to “reach the unreachable” within the automotive industry and has proudly developed strong relationships with some of the top industry leaders such as Sonic, Chrysler Realty, DCH, Asbur , Lithia, CarMax, Celebrity Motorcars, Garber Automotive, Lehman Automotive along with many others. With the help of these influential relationships, Barnette was able to achieve record sales for AutoBuilders, where she was previously the Vice President. Her success within the company prodded the CEO, Bob Rawe, to champion her Fifth Gear Sales venture.

Fifth Gear Sales Announces Launch, Assists Auto Industry Vendors
January 5, 2015 – Linda Barnette has announced the official launch of her new business, Fifth Gear Sales. This forward-thinking training company will focus on shifting the way NADA and SEMA vendors sell to the Auto Industry.
As the VP of National Accounts for AutoBuilders General Contracting Services, Inc., Barnette introduced many of the top 125 Automotive Groups and Dealer Principals to the firm and achieved record sales with her top performance at over 46 million in a 12 month period. Bob Rawe, CEO and President of AutoBuilders says, “We support Linda in her new endeavor and know she will transform businesses aspiring to increase revenue by teaching her systematic giving approach which has proven to grow my business.” In 2009, Rawe hired a sales training company led by Greta Schulz, author of To Sell is Not to Sell. At the time, Barnette was working for Schulz. Rawe says, “I believed in the authenticity of the training and agreed with the process of generating revenue through a methodical giving approach to sales.”
Schulz, CEO of Schulz Business, and Barnette reconnected to form Fifth Gear Sales to bring this sales approach to the automotive industry. The workshop company will provide focused training for specific targeted sales to pre-approved elite professionals who sell to dealers. The first workshop will be held in Palm Beach, FL at Northwood University, the leader in Automotive Management.
